GL039 I Guess What I'm Trying To Say

In my ongoing experiments with production techniques of various eras, I decided to try my hand at something Motown-ish. The greats were great for a reason. Man, is this stuff hard to accurately capture! I ended up using horns in lieu of real singers (someday, I'd love to flesh this out and hire some people to lay down vocals). The response line in the guitar during the chorus/bridge was also originally imagined as like 3 people singing "ooh ooh oooooh".

GL038 Gotta Keep On Movin'

Funky disco track featuring some vocoded vocals. This track is a reminder that no matter what, you need to keep moving yourself forward. There are no setbacks, just temporary obstacles.

GL037 My Giant Bunny Friend

Quirky theme for an imagined children's animated show based on a drawing my girlfriend made. Our main character has a giant bunny friend that only she can see. It may live in her shadow. You wouldn't imagine how useful having a giant bunny friend could be. They get up to all kinds of adventures.

GL035 Bar Brawl

Music inspired by the opening fight scene from the pilot episode of Disenchantment. Mark Mothersbaugh absolutely nailed the tension and danger of the general scene. This take is a different (not better) more spirited approach to highlight Tiabeanie's cavalier attitude and impish michievousness. It always seemed to me that she recklessly instigates dangerous situations because she's bored being the princess. This was a quick take on capturing that thrill of adventure seeking.

GL026 Wakka Wakka

This is a track made for slapstick comedy a la Benny Hill. Remember when chasing people and getting chased was funny? LOL.
