I have had a number of requests for a piano score for this piece, so I’ve arranged a version for four hands/1 piano. I didn’t have the time to make pedal markings or dynamics, but I’ll leave that up to interpretation. If I add them in the future, I’ll post a new version. Please make sure to credit me if you post a recording or video of yourself playing this piece and consider sending me a link. I’d love to see what people do with it.
Scannán Beag has released a new short film, Hang On. Ingeniously written, shot, and produced during quarantine following strict social distancing guidelines, Hang On touches upon dealing with the aftermath of a loved one committing suicide. This project was an honor to work on and I’m happy to have had the opportunity to provide music for such a powerful message.
This track was commissioned by the author of a new book series called Nescada. The track needed to evoke sentiments of forest magic and fantasy while remaining somewhat mysterious. It then needed to move into a rhythmically driven section with electric guitars to highlight some of the action sequences of the story. It was a pleasure working on this track and I look forward to seeing how it is used in the context of this project.
